A: Companion care is a form of personal care that offers non-medical services to seniors or people with disabilities. Companion care provides friendship, emotional support, and socialization to alleviate feelings of loneliness.
Q: What does non-medical care mean?
What services can you not provide?
A: Care Buddies is a non-medical home care provider, this means that we must follow certain guidelines to appropriately deliver our services. Our clients must be ambulatory to a degree. We can not administer medication or provide medical advice, but we can remind a client when to take their medication.
Q: Do you have a minimum of service hours required?
A: We have a minimum of two hours per visit. This can be adjusted depending on the requirements of the client.
Q: Can I change the services I need throughout my time with Care Buddies?
A: Yes, Care Buddies is very flexible. We customized our care plan based on the unique requirements of each client. If you would like to modify your care plan, give us a call!
Q: Will my loved one always have the same caregiver?
A: Yes, our goal is to establish a relationship with our client to provide the best care possible. We understand that trust and friendship is vital to a positive home care experience, that is why we schedule the same caregiver to provide services to you or your loved one.
Q: Can I choose specific services out of my package?
A: Yes, you can decide what services you prefer from your package of choice. We understand that caring for your elderly parents or loved ones can be challenging, that is why Care Buddies is flexible to meet the needs of our clients.
